Pop Up Brunch is a Big Success!

popupbrunchPhoto courtesy of Bob Lubell A new celebration of Valentine's Day with Tree City Catering, Vendome Pastry and friends of the Libbey House Foundation was celebrated with a pop-up brunch at the Libbey house on Sunday, February 14th. Wine, fresh juices, a bourbon and a wine punch were enjoyed along with a five course meal and quiche to take home and nibble on later in the day.  Here is a breakdown of the menu for those who may have missed it:

First Course
Canapés by Vendome Pastry
Champagne Punch, Bloody Marys & Bourbon Punch

Second Course
Poached oysters in potato-leek cream

Third Course
Smoked wild-caught salmon, buckwheat blini & chive crème fraiche with endive with Roquefort, apples, walnuts & blood orange vinaigrette

Fourth Course
Braised veal cheek, pistachio gremolata, cocoa demi-glace with saffron risotto, baby fennel & sweet red peppers

Fifth Course
Linzer Love and Flourless Chocolate Tarts by Vendome Pastry

The event was a huge success!  The feedback on Facebook has been very positive.
